Hello all,

Just a quick note to say little TK is nursing well and growing at the age of
five days, and Cesca continues to be an excellent mother cat. =o) TK climbs
all over her as if she was a huge, furry boulder.  I believe that Cesca too,
is feeling better after her major procedure on Monday. She suns herself in
my bedroom window  for a few minutes every morning as a treat, and eats
every bite I give her. So for the moment, the California kitten forecast is
Sunny and Warm.

Good news. :-)  I may have missed it somewhere and I'm curious....How did
the little one get the name "TK"?

I'm calling the kitten TK for Tiny Kitten, until I can establish its gender
and/or it survives its first week of life. The odds for survival are looking
very good, at this point, for which Cesca deserves 99% of the credit. Once I
figure out if I have a male or a female, I'll give the kitten a
gender-appropriate name.
I think Cesca herself is feeling a bit better, too.  She gets all the food
she asks for, and more.

I just had to ask. I've got a "TK" living with us (sleeping on the bed with my
wife at the moment). He was a feral, 3 months ago, that we had been feeding
for several months. In March he showed up with a nasty bite wound and we
got him in a cat carrier and took him to the vet. When my wife was filling out
the form at the vet, she got to "Name:" and put down the closest thing he had
to a name. Every day we'd been calling him at dinner time by yelling out the
door "Where's That Kitty" So, Name: "That Kitty". Now shortened to "TK".

I knew a cat called "TC" for "Top Cat." :) He was a big, bossy Tom.

At a previous job, someone sent a complete accounting of their business.
Browsing through it, we realized the business was a pet crematorium and the
accounting was complete with names of pets cremated.  There was one cat
named Boss Cat.  For some reason, we laughed hysterically at that.  In a
sense, though, aren't all cats the bosses of their homes :-)?

You bet, just sometimes the people they own don't realize it. ;0)

My friend Katherine woke up to find a strange cat on her bed, one
morning although she already had three permanent residents at the
time.  VC for Visitor Cat came in through the cat flap one morning,
and proceeded to adopt the family by acting as if he'd always lived
there. Oddly, the resident cats did not object too much. =o) Katherine
is sure she must have a sign saying SUCKER on her roof, visible to
strays for MILES around. Just now, her cat  family numbers five.
Fortunately, she has a nice big house, and each cat is able to carve
out some private territory for itself without anybody feeling crowded.

Probably some relative of Natasha's (new addition to my home). She
has made it known that I'm now her property, no matter what the court
systems might say.

I'm glad you took him in and that it's working out for all of you.
