A couple with a young daughter, about 7 years old, adopted my foster cat
Hushpad today! I was initially thinking she needed an adult home, but the
girl is very sweet and quiet, and wanted a kitty she can carry around and
sleep with her, and Hushpad fits that bill. I explained her history,
personality, health issues, everything, and they are very understanding. I
think this is a very good match, and I'm so glad Hushpad has a home!
Remember how I said I wanted to take a break from fostering? Well, now I
have 3 5 week-old kittens in my bathroom :-D

I don't think that counts as a break. ;-) Congratulations on placing
Hushpad. :-)

You're terrific for fostering those cats/kittens.

It's a sickness ;0)
I'm so glad she got adopted. I hope it is THE forever home.

My only concern about a child like that being the driving force behind
an adoption would be the possibility that the family is just getting
the pet to assuage some whim of the child and the child later gets
tired of the pet, but I'm sure you eliminated that as a liklihood when
you met them. I'll bet the girl really bonds with Hushpad. It sounds
like a wonderful match.

Sadly, it turns out that it wasn't.
