Well it looks like the story about the cats found glued together after a
break-in at a business has a happy ending. According to the Arizona Humane
Society the mother cat and her kittens have all been adopted. They also
found the suspect which turned out to be a 12 year old kid. He will face
felony animal abuse charges.

Good! I hope that they hospitalize the kid and make sure he isn't a future
threat to society at large!

Hopefully, he'll have an "accident." I don't think that very often that sort
of illness is cured.

This kid's parents will probably try to get this kid a lawyer and plead it
out to some lesser charge. That is happening a lot so Arizona needs to have
the legislature put into a law an animal cruelty bill that doesn't allow
plea bargaining. It needs to also be more sever than the ones we have now.

Animal cruelty laws need to be stiffer in all the states. It's difficult to
prosecute to the full extent of the law anyway, and with juveniles, you're
lucky if you get a slap on the wrist, community service and court-ordered
counseling.

And the juvies are the ones who need intervention the most, sadly.

Thanks for the update on that one. Made me sooo sick.
And all the replies are right :( And it's so sad when a kid does something
like that. Well anyone, of course, but the correlation between animal abuse
by children, and then the child turning to violent crimes from then on is
staggering. There's a study linking childhood animal abuse to serial killer
behavior.
They have sick minds :( And whoever said they often don't get better is so
right :(
I am so glad the 4 babies and Momma were adopted and saved :)
