Mitzie 9 yr. cat has gum disease been taking clavmix.she wont eat because her
mouth hurts.vet. doesn,t want to pull teeth. been feeding her baby food, when
I can catch her. I have to force feed her and make her take water with a
dropper. She runs outside so I can't help her. What can I do for her??

Keep the cat inside so you can catch her to feed her. I would also find
another vet.

Find a veterinarian with more experience with dental issues in cats.
Seriously. Obviously, long term chasing and force-feeding of baby
food isn't gonna cut it, and there are more and more dental vets
these days.

Why does your vet not want to pull teeth? You mean even after you get her
infection under control? My boy had gum disease and pulling his back teeth
were the best thing we ever did. After a year of antibiotics and pred, he
finally never had to be pilled again. Maybe the vet is not experience in it.
There should be a vet in town (assuming you aren't in too small a town) that
has the equipment.
