My 2 year old cat has been playing in the garden all day(uk). He came in
about 7pm as he is not allowed to stay out at night, about hour later he
started to froth at the mouth, he is not in any pain and eating and drinking
as normal.I think he has come in to contact with a toad and possible a slow
worm.Should i take him to a vet?

Do you use snarol to kill snails? If so, he could have ingested it. That can
kill him. If he ate a stink bug he could get a foamy mouth, then he'll vomit
and have diarrhea. I don't know much about worms or toads. You could just call
your vet.

A poisonous spider could also cause this. I would get this cat immediately
to a vet.

Frothing could be bad but not necessarily. Once, when I tried to give
Ike a pill,  he started frothing after several attempts.  I gave up!

I would have it checked, but I *have* heard people say that if a cat bites a
toad something about it (probably some bitter substance) will cause the cat
to foam.
