Does anyone here meditate and then end up having their cat interrupting it?
I know both my cats like to do this but of course the positive energy may be
why they want to hang around.

Depends what you mean by meditation. At a higher level meditation is
complete detachment from this plane and raising consciousness to a higher
level. That can only be done alone at a quiet time alone.

I used to meditate seriously but now I just sit and most of the time my mind
wanders. One of my cats always ends up in my lap. Cats like nothing more
than their pet human sitting still with an inviting lap!

But if you want to seriously meditate then dont do it in the same room as
your cat or any other person.

If you want to give positive energy you dont need meditation, just be nice
to your cat.

Positive energy is a mental not a spiritual quality. Energy is outwards to
the world, spirituality is a state of energyless calm within.

I meditate more often than I used to and I know that Isis likes to hang
around but Jade also wonders over and lays near me. I think you can
seriously meditate with the cats around it's all about timing. I was able to
meditate the other day and both of my cats just stayed in their spots
sleeping.

I give my cats an injection of heroin to calm them down while I meditate.
