No black helicopters, just the obvious: equalizer was here while you
weren't, and now that you're here, equalizer isn't.

Answer this--is it or is it not a fact that when Laura disappears, equalizer
shows up?  Then, when equalizer disappears, Laura shows back up?  Just answer
the question.  Although, you do have a hard time with facts......hmmmmm?

I can't believe anyone would spend their time keeping track of when someone
posts or doesn't post.  Is your life that empty, Gaubster?

As USENET is a time-shifted medium, how can you nail down exactly when
two or more people actually make a post? If by the header information,
than I can very simply come up with slews of threads where Laura and I
were participating "simultaneously".

As for "disappearing" -- some of us have a life outside of USENET.....\

Laura didn't deny being equalizer.

Why would Laura even bother reading a "Where's equalizer" post if she's not
equalizer? She read and responded because she is equalizer.

Don't kid yourself that Laura objects to any of this, anyway. She loves
attention, even if it's negative attention, because at least then she's in
the spotlight. She hates few things more than being ignored.

I am not equalizer, idiot. How's that?

Because I navigate my newsreader with the "n" key, which takes me to the
next unread post. Duh.

Actually, this is of only marginal interest to me, which was why I
didn't bother "denying" being EQ. It is such a stupid proposition that
it wasn't worth wasting time giving credence to it.

It's a Gravity thing, I think, and maybe that other popular reader
(forte?).
That's what I use and I can use the 'n' key for the next message, too.

Outlook you can't do that. What reader are you using?

Outlook. Not good, I know. They just make it so handy, not having to open a
different window for mail.

Well, you can't use 'n' for the next msg in Outlook because Outlook's
shortcut is CTRL+>.

Outlook might be duff in a few ways, but the lack of a 'next message'
shortcut ain't one of 'em!

Oh yes, I would like to announce that I too am equalizer. We all are.

The interesting thing is that, where the functionality exists, news
readers handle mail better than mail readers handle news.

OE, of course, is neither.

Don't count on it; I've heard from Arjun many times about how I'm using

It depends on your newsreader, Hailey. Each has its own shortcut
keys. Gravity, which I use, just happens to use "n" to go to the next
unread post. :-)

Have you any concrete proof?  Not that one disappeared as the other
