After a quick search I had found it, but thanks - I bookmarked that picture
for whenever I run across a post from someone who wants their children to
witness the "miracle of birth" as I think it's only fair that they should
take their children to a local shelter when they're euthanizing kittens so
the children can also witness the "drama of death"!

-----------
There is a way to have one's cake and eat it too. We fostered an already
pregnant cat who had been picked up by a rescue group. My children were able
to witness "the miracle of birth," and then learned an important lesson
about the importance of having cats spayed and neutered. The kittens were
returned to the rescue group after they were weaned (where they were spayed
and neutered and adopted into furr-ever homes). Mom was also spayed, and we
kept her :-)
FTR, though, if I were in charge of recruiting foster families for a rescue
group, I think I would be very wary of recruiting a family who thinks
cats/kittens are so expendable as this woman on the other group apparently
does. OTOH, one of the biggest and most active supporters of my rescue group
began as a woman who had allowed her unspayed cat to have several litters.
Apparently, she approached the group in the hopes of placing one of the
litters of kittens, got an education about the reality of life, and became
one of the biggest advocates for spay/neuter, educating other people about
the consequences of wanting their children to witness "the miracle of
birth."
Best regards,

Thanks Phil, as with all the rest it made me cry - I'll never understand how
some people can be indifferent to that.
