Ours was a rather noisy affair with lots of children, food.

( I still can't believe that they managed to get through 2 x 2kg of
Quality street, & 1 x 2kg of Roses sweets as well !!!!?

( A brand named sweet tin, or candy if you happen to live in the

All of the cats had an Xmas stocking of course, & they all seem to be
quite happy with their new toys. Their favourite one has to be the
laser pen light, & the slinky that climbs down the stairs all on it's
own. I don't know if you have them in the states? It is like a coil of
spring steel, (or can be plastic), & it climbs down the stairs by it's
weight & flexibility. Do you have them in the USA?

They are almost as funny as the cat chasing the laser lights.....

I have to be honest in telling you that I'm pleased that Christmas is
over for another year. Every year, I swear blind that I will do my
Xmas shopping in January, but never do of course!

After all the excess of this Christmas, we have decided that next
year, instead of spending unnecessary money on things we really don't
need. Instead, we intend to give to charities. We are choosing  PDSA,
which is a free vet service to anyone in need of pet care in the UK,
but can't afford it. They have helped me out of a few holes in the
past, so we think it is a very deserving charity.

We intend to let everyone choose the charity of their choice, so that
each contribution is thought through before we pay it for them, & each
charity benefits from each persons choice. There is certainly plenty
of choice!
A much better idea than yet another pair of slippers..!!
