Hi again,
My poor little foster cat Hushpad is not a happy girl. She was treated for
earmites last week, but she's still rubbing her head on the floor, against
the wall and furniture corners, and pawing at her ears. One of the other
volunteers thought it sounded like she had a secondary yeast infection, and
gave me med for that, and also said to clean her ears before applying the
meds. I was thinking she might have some type of inner ear infection,
because her ears are actually very clean, no brown residue at all.
She seems miserable. The constipation issue isn't much better, either.
Poor little thing ran and hid from me after I treated her ears. :-(

Take an eye-dropper full of gasoline and put it in the cats ears, now
toss lit matches at it.

Did the vet say how long she'd be itchy from the mites after
treatment?

No, she didn't. Unfortunately, she's gone into heat, and now I'm not sure
if all the rubbing is from her ears bothering her or the heat. Either way,
she's seeing the shelter vet next Tuesday. I may take her to the vet office
before then if it seems to still be her ears.

if her ears are clean and she's still rubbing, I'd take her to a vet. She
might have a polyp or something else. Yeast looks very much like ear mites.
