I had Nacho at the vet for treatment of an impacted anal gland. While the
tech was prepping him for treatment, he squeezed off a load from the
opposite gland. The texture of the secretion was a firm, pasty material,
dark brown in color. What causes this variation in texture and the
impacting? The releases I've seen from anal glands before have been more
watery, splattery, and much more foul smelling.

With one side of his butt shaved, he looks rather stunning. I'm considering
shaving the other side, staining his whole a.s purple and pumping it up with
silicone injections so it looks like a baboons arse. Should be a real
conversation starter on an orange and white tabby tom, wouldn't you think?

Before you try an experiment on your pet, you should try it on yourself!

The result would be difficult to observe. Could I try it on you instead?

Don't know but it would make for a fascinating study.  Maybe you could
get a grant.

Perhaps as the groups resident poop smoocher, you already possess the
information and would disbusres it freely.
