Holistic treatment for anxiety

I was just watching "The Dog Whisperer" and Caesar transformed a dog
with anxiety and total fear of everything by using his pack, and
also acupunture.  Anyone with experience with this?  Caesar's ideal
is to try holistic approaches unless it immediately doesn't provide
results, then move on to medication.  I wonder if I made a mistake
with Shamrock's agression problem by using medication if acupuncture
could be a successful therapy. I know that Caesar is an expert with
dogs, but I can't imagine that treating anxiety is that much
different between cats and dogs.  I'd really like Shamrock to be
settled without medication.

Oh, and Shamrock may not really be the problem. Maybe it is Bonnie
who needs to settle down. But she would be the harder one to
treat. Sometimes it seems that she is the one that is intigating
things with Shamrock.  Shamrock still has his issues since without
medication he attacks my legs and leaves me bleeding. So I guess i
have two head cases.
