Hello All!
"Angel" has always been a very active cat; climbing up and jumping down
the cat tree, chasing and being chased by her sister, "Spirit". Both
cats are about 5 years of age.
For the past week or so, we have seen Angel limping and favoring the
right front paw. Examination of her pad under a magnifying glass reveals
nothing that would cause the limp. We are assuming that she has sprained
it or twisted it in her playing with "sister". Neither does it appear to
be tender when we press gently on joints or the shoulder.
We have isolated her for 2 days; she comes out of her room O.K. Soon
thereafter, she starts chasing and being chased and it starts all over
again. Should we isolate her for a week, instead of just a few days?
Are there any home remedies that would mitigate this and relieve any
discomfort she may be experiencing? Most vets recommend cortisone shots,
but we'd rather avoid that, if at all possible.
Many thanks for taking the time to respond!

I would get it checked out by the vet. I would definitely try to keep her
from playing hard for a while.
