I know exactly what you mean. As much as I'd love a whole clowder
of cats, things aren't purrfect here, but I'm afraid of what
another would do to the dynamics. Plus, I just have too many vet
bills at this point. I'm at my limit. And now maybe over it if
Bonnie turns out to be sick. But I committed to the four I have,
and we'll make due.
Welcome back, and I hope your computer behaves.

I hear that! We have 2 dogs and 2 cats--plus 2 human children. Medical
bills are significant portion of the budget! I wish people would think
about budgeting for vet care before they impulsively adopted/purchased that
cute kitten or puppy... I swear I think some people put more thought into
what candy bar they will get in the grocery check-out line.

The operative word is commited and that is what separates good, responsible
pet owners like you from the a-holes who scrimp on vet care because they
"can't afford it" (but likely have all kinds of things they could do
without if they weren't so selfish).
I don't know what is going on with Bonnie, but I sure hope she is okay, or
will be!!!
