Mah-ah (staccato) = don't stop petting me
ya-wooo = out
Miow-w - I'm waiting [for food]
MII (sounds like "me", but growly) - you're bugging me and I'm in a
bad mood; said to other kitties

"ya woo" is a new one. I just started taking Shamrock and Scarlett
outside on a harness and leash. They are the only ones who could
handle that right now. Shamrock LOVES it. He ya-woo's at
everything. Takes a step, "ya-woooo".  See's a bird, "ya-woooo".
Scarlett is a little more timid but doesn't fight the harness.
Rhett would fight me and I'm afraid with his strength he'd break
loose.  I couldn't even get the harness on Bonnie, so she doesn't
get to partake in this experiment.

Shamrock "ya-wooos" for a long time after coming in. He wants to go
back out. I wish I could let him. Mosquito season, and a half hour
of roaming the yard is enough. Funny, but at one point, he ran up a
tree, and the lead is only about 4' long. If they get used to this,
I will get a long lightweight lead so they can have a little more
freedom.  I think they liked looking at the enclosure from the
"wrong" side.

I don't have any comments, but really enjoyed reading this, Cheryl.

I'm trying to remember what the cats I remember "said" but
they were inarticulate compared to Shamrock.

Cute!  Peewee used to say "Ma-ma!"  I swear!
If he was really excited it would be a Mer-ow! in a big kitty
voice. :)
he loved the leash as well.  he'd stand still so I could put it on
him, nad RUN to the door!
I miss the little bugger. :*(

Mimi is please to be Queen of the Castle though.  She's such a Diva!

Oh, I remember you telling us about PeeWee's "Mama".
