Fry the mice in bacon grease and feed them to your cat, or throw the
mice in the neighbors yard for their kids to play with.

Recycling is a virtuous and entertaining pastime. My 8 yr old son found a
cardinal that had been killed by our youngest cat. He tied a string to one
of its legs and 'flew' it in circles much to the delight of the cat who
merrily chased it for quite a long time. After that game had worn out, he
strung the bird over the clothesline, dangling about 18 inches off the
ground. A liberal sprinkling with catnip and interest was again rejuvenated.
Child and creature entertained for a whole afternoon through the virtue of
recycling. Of course he was admonished to wash his hands.
