It is my understanding that you shouldn't give any sort of aspirin or pain
reliever for humans to cats. If I am wrong, somebody correct me.

Could be I read that nobody should give their cats aspirin or other pain
relievers for humans on their own--but I had never heard of a vet
prescribing them either. We're all here to learn.
