The Ever Helpful and Informative Priscilla Ballou has raised the issue of
whether or not I am a "shill" for this company because I keep mentioning
them. In other words, am I posing as a customer in order to sell the
products there?

I do not work for Petfooddirect nor am I affiliated with them in any way
other than being a customer for years.

They rock. I LOVE getting a great selection of foods and other pet products
priced reasonably, and shipped to my door for a nominal fee. I also love the
fact that they send coupons via email for up to 25% off, which absorbs the
shipping price so that the products are about the same as I would pay in a
local store but without the hassle of going out to get the stuff and lugging
it home.

Those of you who do more than stick your heads in to suggest unpleasant
things once every few years may recall that last Christmas I was complaining
about the company because it was a full ten days from when I ordered to when
the shipment left the warehouse. I'm happy to report that this was an
anomaly.

Another thing I love about them: I ordered a shipment for someone else and
then had reason to stop the shipment and redirect it to another location.
They did this after just one call and there was no additional charge.
They're great at customer service, too.

I used to order from them a lot as well. The discount codes more than made
up for the shipping, the prices were lower than my local stores to begin
with, and no sales tax since I'm in another state.

I have to say though that they DID charge my credit card immediately every
time I placed an order and they don't process the orders for a full week.  A
co-worker called the first time she placed an order, wondering what the
status was after a few days and not getting a shipping confirmation.  They
told her that all orders take a week to process.  I'm in NY and once an
order ships I get it the next day so the week wait isn't too big a deal, but
I really don't like them charging my card before my order is ready to ship.

Also, my last order of 12 (?) oz cans of Wellness had come damaged.  Three
cans were seriously smashed, and two had actually cracked.  I called and
they said they would credit me for 3 cans but I never received the credit.
I then switched ISPs and wasn't able to access my account under my old
e-mail address to complain.
