Impact of Bad Pet Food Gluten on U.S. Food Supply

My not-always-reliable sources tell me that the probable vendor for the bad
pet food wheat gluten is either BinZhou-HongXing Tech or Wudi-ZhongLiang
Development in China. I hope they are wrong.

If either is the case, then the U.S. Food Supply is in question, since they
both are supposedly low bidder suppliers of refined wheat protein (gluten
products) for feedlot animals. Both a rodenticide and melamine have been
found in the tainted material from China. IF feedlot animals have consumed
the material AND can pass on the poison then they likely will have to be
destroyed. That will have a very bad effect on the economies of both the
U.S. and Canada to say the least, as well as on meat and poultry producers.

There is NO evidence that first tier wheat gluten (directly consumed by
humans) is contaminated with the poison since it is almost exclusively
produced in North America.

The FDA identifies the gluten source as China but refuses to identify which
vendor supplied the poisoned material. It is unclear whether the FDA is
protecting the Chinese vendor, whether they are just protecting "free
trade", whether they want to avoid a panic, whether they want to avoid
financial damage to meat producers, or whether it is just another case of
government incompetence. Take your choice.

Effort now needs to turn to examination of recent hospital and clinic
records in the U.S. and see how much renal disease and kidney failure have
suddenly spiked. It is also not a bad idea to examine recent data on
unidentified deaths in the meat and poultry industries.

I hope your sources are wrong, but it's what I've been expecting.

First it was just a few batches, then practically every pet food
manufacturer was affected....then, as I predicted, the dry food, now
the treats, and I just said about a week ago to a friend, I won't be
at all surprised when it turns up in the food supply as well.

Jericho, anyone?

Oh, and if the FDA is protecting anyone, it's about money, nothing
else. If they're not taking kickbacks, then they must be dead. That
agency is the most corrupt on the planet.

The FDA refuses to identify... whose side are they on, anyway.  They are
supported by our taxes and I, for one, am disgusted that we are getting
filler for cat food from China, anyway.  We can't get this from our own
country with our own standards?  Menu Foods may have saved a buck for
themselves and all these pet foods producers but they are losing big time,
now.

Everything is made in China these days. We have the anti-American
traitor-scum team Bill Clinton/Al Gore to thank for that. Even the
AMERICAN FLAG is made in China, my dear. Just check it out the next
time you're browsing thru your local WallMart.

What planet do you live on, anyway?

Nope. Cost too much.

People will forget. The average Joe on the street can't remember what
happened yesterday. As long as it didn't happened to him personally.

Clinton, I don't know about Gore on this, shares the blame with the
big corporate whores running our country. That is virtually all of the
Republicans and a good percentage of the Democrats. Just check out who
the Fortune 500 leaders back, and that will tell you.

Yes, the American flag is made in China and who knows where else but there
are actually some who are trying to pass some kind of legislation to only
allow our flag to be made in our country but with the anti-American
sentiment around these days I don't give it much chance.

It's just like the law they were supposed to pass concerning flag
desecration. Or the law they were supposed to pass dealing with the
issue of gay marriage. It's all a crock. They're only in it for
themselves. And they know that in order to keep their jobs, they have
to put forth a little effort in the direction of their constituency
once in a while (ever notice how they're really out there near
election time?). Most of it ends up being lip-service. Like the flag
things. They know that they can get away with it because it won't be
too long before a new 'outrage' comes along that we all will have to
deal with. They know too that most people get their news from a mass
media who quits reporting on a story just as soon as the scandal has
worn off (or a new outrage comes along). Then we never hear of it
again unless it somehow reaches outrage status once again. Not to
mention, most people can't remember anything further back than a
couple of incidents, and they know this as well.
Following politics in this country is like keeping up with
'Professional' Wrestling or a soap opera. You can drop it for a year
and then tune back in again, and you haven't missed a thing. The
politicians control everything. If only one plane had struck the WTC,
they would have covered it all up. They just couldn't deal with that
second one. That's all. They needed to "fool all the people all of the
time" on that one and they knew they just couldn't do it. Evil
bastards. The closest that America has ever been to knowing what is
actually going on was when Kennedy was assassinated. They had to
surface momentarily to deal with that, so we can catch little glimpses
of the huge submerged part of the Iceberg if we don't blink.
I don't spend a moment watching the TV news anymore. Screw 'em. I
just live my life the best I can and try to buy American. If I can
find anything made here anymore, that is...

Today the FDA embargoed material from Xuzhou Anying Biologic Technology
Development Co. Ltd (also written as BinZhou-HongXing Tech).

FDA, please list which cattle and poultry feed facilites also received
gluten from that company. It won't remain secret very long, and the
political wisdom of keeping silent will be poor once the extent of the
problem comes out.
