Frontline Plus making cat a little sick?

I just applied a Frontline Plus dose to my cat a few hours ago.  It could be my
imagination, but it seems now that he's feeling a little funky, kind of like he
did after getting his vaccinations - maybe a 24 hr thing.  Is this normal - it
makes sense, since youre literally applying an insecticide (poison) to their
body, but I want to make sure.  Does anyone else's cat seem to feel ill after
getting Frontline Plus (or whatever).

Any time you give a cat a pesticide, even something like Frontline, there is
always the possibility of a reaction.  Personally I don't give my cats any flea
pesticides because they're indoor only, and also because I don't like giving
them chemical pesticides.  I think it's probably a good idea to contact your
vet to see if this could be related.  I hope your kitty feels better soon.

I didn't use any of that on my cats since they're indoor only cats. One
day Midnight got out and rolled around in the dirt - guess what he
brought in. Fleas can also get in easily from the patio when I open the
door. I'm now putting Frontline Plus on Cody & Midnight after the vet
cleaned them up & I got rid of any fleas by using Borax & vacuuming.

I picked some of that up tonight to try out on Shamrock. He's had a
history of allergy skin (the whole 2+ years he's been with me) -- very
severe case of lesions that the vet diagnosed as EGC or Feline
Eosinophilic Granuloma Complex. It appears to be a flea allergy but no
fleas have every been found; 2 vets have even combed him, done skin
scrapings, etc and never found signs of fleas. He's been treated with
Advantage like clockwork, but the allergy problems continue and he gets
steroid shots to keep him comfortable. After reading some others posting
about using Advantage and still finding fleas, I've decided to give it a
try. Like some have said, a single flea can cause a severe reaction and
cats are good at picking fleas off themselves with their teeth and you'd
never see them.
