Have a 14 yr old female. Has lost much weight. Had very runny stools and
after each one would vomit. Now she won't eat at all, tries to drink
water. Can hardly walk, just wants to lay, seems to be in pain as can't
lay on side. Used to be very cuddly now doesn't want anything to do with
us. HELP !!!!!!

you're not sayin that you haven't taken the cat to the vet yet??
sounds like she could be blocked/constipated but could be something else,
according to your description she needs to get to the vet NOW - or rather
should have been there already.
I can't beleive you're surprised the cat is not cuddly after you say
yourself it's in pain, can't eat and is lethargic?
Please help her!

Your cat is seriously ill and needs to see a vet or she will die.  She is
suffering, help her.  Go to an emergency vet if your vet is not open...now that
is the beginning of a weekend.  If this were a person, wouldn't you be helping
her?

Please, please please take her to a vet, immediately.  Preferably tonight -
on an emergency basis (call the vet & leave a message w/ the answering
service - the vet on call will phone you back & arrange to meet you at the
office; or take her to an emergency clinic if there's one near you), or
tomorrow at the latest.

She's very sick - it could be any number of things, and she needs assessment
& treatment ASAP.

What has the veterinarian had to say?

When my cat displayed the exact same symptoms, it was lymphoma. And
he died from it, but he lived much, much longer than he would have if
I'd not gotten him into the vets' to be treated.

Take that cat to a vet, now.

Why "TED?"

To truncate what everyone else in here has said thus far into monosyllabic
words:

YOU!

VET!

NOW!

Posting to usenet is no substitute to what a vet can do.

I presume your phone is broken and prefer to ask a newsgroup about a very
urgent medical problem regarding your cat?
If he appears to be in pain, he is. Did you need one or more people to permit
you to call the vet?

She is very ill and very possibly is going to die if you don't get her
medical help.

Do you not have a vet in your area? If you do, but can't afford it,
please check with your local humane society - they often have vets that
will offer you deals or have good payment plans instead of making you
pay all at once up front.

If you don't know of a vet in your area, check with anyone who has
livestock. They can usually recommend a vet. Your local police station
might be able to get you a referral if they have an animal control
division.
