Yesterday afternoon, after getting home with Pepper from her sono, a man
from North Shore Animal League showed up, (in uniform).  He was actually
coming to check on the welfare of my Pickles whom I got from North Shore
about a year ago!  I was very impressed!

Pickles came running to the door to greet the guy but she took one look at
him and started to bolt.  I had to grab her to show him how great she's
doing.

Wow, I didn't know they checked up on adopted animals.  My Tiger came from
NSAL, but I wasn't the one who adopted her originally.  My sister's friend
got her as a kitten, and gave her to my sister to bring to our job when
Tiger was a little under 2 years old.  Tiger was a working cat until 1998 or
so, when I got my own apartment and took her home.

5 years ago when one of my bosses & I moved our offices to a new space he
said I could get two cats.  I called several places in NYC but nobody wanted
to adopt out to a store, even though I told them the cat(s) would be well
taken care of.  Finally I went to NSAL and adopted a cat & a kitten but
pretended they were for myself, at home.  Stinky & Harriet have been at work
ever since, and are very well taken care of.
