I'm looking for a kitten food with no chicken or corn in it.  I'm
actually looking for my ferret.  The only non-chicken based ferret
food I've been able to find is made in the UK and I can't find a
retailer in the US.  If anyone knows a good duck & rice or lamb & rice
food for kittens (ferrets need the higher fat/protein found in kitten
foods) please let me know, thanks!

You can respond to arcane2501@mail.com if you wish, thanks.

Have you asked your veterinarian? They usually have prescription
diets that contain neither chicken nor corn. They're usually things
like venison or rabbit with rice.

Wow, having poked around before posting this, you're in for a tough
search finding ferret food without corn or chicken, it would appear:

Perhaps post in rec.pets.ferrets

Just curious, why are you looking for something without chicken? The corn I
can understand as Ferrets are carnivores the same as cats are.

My guess would be allergies, since that's what the subject line
implies.

You're probably right Laura. Perhaps someone in the ferret ng can help.

There certainly doesn't seem to be much out there without either
chicken or corn, that's for sure.
