My kitty with the 106 degree fever on Tuesday 4/20/04 is finally
home. She's off of IV fluids and on Baytril antibiotic. We're in a
watch and wait mode. No cause has been found. Thank all for
your support.

I'm assuming that the fever is down? How is she behaving? Does she
seem to be feeling better? I'm glad to hear she's home; please post
updates.

I'm glad to hear she is doing well enough to come home. Sometimes you never do
find out what caused the fever, but if she is responding to Baytril, a
bacterial infection is a good guess. Even knowing that, you generally can't be
certain what caused it--with our cat, we suspected salmonella but there was no
way to determine that for sure.
