I'll summarize to try to make this one concise post.
My cat Ana, 2.5 yrs old spayed female.  Had an episode of vomiting and not
eating last month, blood test was ran and showed a slightly elevated WBC.  I
kept her isolated for a few days and she got better, almost like magic.  Two
weeks ago, it started again.  Went back to the vet, initially the vet
thought constipation, that has now been ruled out.  WBC was again elevated,
but then went down slightly after a couple days of Clavamox.  Ana spent
three days at the vet's, and was released on Friday as she was eating on her
own and appeared better.  When I brought her back home, I again put her in
isolation (the master bathroom), she seemed fine at first, but then vomited
Friday evening.  Vomiting continued all weeked, 1-2 times a day.  I ended up
force feeding her some chicken baby food.  She did urinate and pass stool.

I took Ana back to the vet today.  The vet is going to try another round of
hospitalization and start Prednisone, and if it happens again, refer us to a
specialist.  The vet is thinking IBD or intestinal lymphoma.  This is a
small vet office, so they are limited as to what they can do.  The vomit Ana
is producing is liquid, smells awful, I think it's mostly stomach acid.  I
did go through IBD (probable lymphoma, biopsy could not be done) with a
previous cat.  She however had bad diarrhea, not the vomiting so much.

I just want to know what's wrong with poor Ana!  The vet was wondering if
she gets stressed out coming home, since she did so well when she stayed at
the hospital.  I don't think so, but who knows?   I mean, she was isolated,
and I did go in and spend as much time as I could with her.  On paper my
house sounds like it might be stressful (other cats and two toddlers) but
this has never seemed to bother her, and there are plenty of places for the
cats to hang where the children don't go.
HELP!!

Did they test her pancreatic and liver enzymes to rule out pancreatitis?

Sounds like it may be IBD. She should see another vet who will do an
endoscopy for IBD or lymphoma.

Yes, that's the next step if this current stint at the vet's doesn't help,
or if it happens again.  :(

I echo this. The symptoms sound very much like pancreatitis--I went
through this not long ago. They can also do an ultrasound to look at
the pancreas and see if its inflamed.

Yes I agree my spirit just went threw this  after a round of  antibiotics
and fluids he luckily got better but took almost two weeks.  But had a very
scared cat daddy still watching him like a hawk.
 I hope everything works out.

I looked it up and symptomatically, it does sound very much like
pancreatitis.  However, the vet said her lipase and ??(can't remember) were
fine.
The traveling ultrasound vet is going to be at the clinic on Thurs, so Ana
is going to have an abdominal u/s.  Right now, she is still in the hospital,
has not eaten on her own, so they started force-feeding and fluids.  The vet
and the tech I spoke with said her spirits seem to be better, and they let
her out of the cage in the afternoon and she visited the office staff.
Everyone at the vet's is in love with her.  She is a sweet girl, I hope she
pulls through this and nothing is seriously wrong.

Has there been any fur or hairballs in the vomit?  Are her stools
normal?

Sounds almost like a soft blockage or a poisoning of some sort.  Any
new chemicals in the house?  Did this start when you moved? (You did
move, didn't you...?)

No, no hair/fur in the vomit.  It's liquid, yellowish brown, and smells
awful.  The vet did think constipation at one point, but then said that
wasn't it because the stools she felt in her were soft and small.  The poop
I have seen looks normal, on the smaller side though.  She is going maybe
every few days, I guess because she is not eating much.

It started after we moved, but not right after, we had been here for a good
4 months when the first episode occured.  No chemicals that I can think of.
The cats don't go outside, and I have any cleaning supplies put up and out
of the way.  Nothing is left open or anything like that.
I hope the u/s provides some answers.
