Hi all,
I have a 9 year old cat and she did something I was curious about that maybe
everyone could offer some insight on. This cat (her name is bandit) has always
liked to be perched above everyone else, looking down, like on the china
closet, the refrigerator. Last night, when we were all sitting in the living
room, I noticed that she was sitting on my mantle piece above my fireplace for
about 30 minutes. What I found odd about this was that there was hardly any
room for her to sit there because the mantle is totally coverd with knick-
knacks (she was laying in such a small spot that if she tilted a little bit,
she would definately have fallen.. Yet she sat there all of that time like a
little gargoyle. Why would a cat choose to sit there, rather than lay on a big
comfortable bed without the risk of falling off..

Cause she's a cat - likes to be up high (as you've noticed), & likes to be
mysterious - doing things that perplex humans.

For the same reason they will sit on a tiny scrap of paper in the
middle of the big blank carpet. It's a cat.

She is thinking: "I can do anything!"
