Hi Folks,
Our 6 yr old Black Shorthaired cat has developed a FOUL odor eminating
from his ears...like rotten shrimp.
We've recently treated for mites...
He shows no signs of distress.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

This sounds like he may still have mites, or possibly a fungus. I would
have his ears checked again by a vet.

Possible abcess down in the ear canal due to infection/inflammation from
mites. Can be potentially fatal if left untreated. Please take him to the
vet and have them check it out. :-(

It could be a yeast infection. Have the vet check out his ears.
