I treated my cats with Frontline for the first time on Sunday. One of them
hasn't been feeling well since: lethargic, not hungry. I might have gotten too
low on his back and he might have licked it. I called the vet today and they
said to bring him in tomorrow if he doesn't get better. He has thrown up clear
liquid or a little brown in it and it smells bad.
Has anyone else had their cat react poorly to Frontline? I looked in the
archives and didn't really find anything.
Thanks,
Stacey

Meep reacts badly to it but not like your cat. She gets a serious case
of creepy skin and freaks out. At first it was only for a few minutes,
but by the time I quit it was for over an hour. Running around, creepy
skin, trying to lick, looking nearly panic stricken. I think it must
have itched or burned intensely as it travelled along her skin.
We use Stronghold/Revolution now, tho it's prescription and expensive.
I take her collar off and put it there, then I know it'll be in a spot
too difficult to reach - Meep can reach the "between the shoulder
blades" spot the instructions say to use.

Yeah. Two cats could care less, the other runs, screams and freaks out.
She's the one with sensitive skin, so I think some get an iching,
burning reaction from it and some don't.
Stronghold sounds like a good idea.

I have treated several cats with frontline on occation when ever fleas
are a problem.. Two cats dont mind it but one cat, Gaius, Will lose all
the hair in the area where I apply the Frontline and it does NOT grow
back. This is the 3rd applicaton in 8 months and now he is very sick.
Its been 1 week since I applied the frontline and in the last 24 hours
he is not eating vomiting and has diarrhea is very lethargic and feels
warmer then the other cats so I assume tempature. I may have to take
him to the vet tomorrow. He looks so sad and wont even react even to
catnip. I wonder if the hairloss is a sign of a non tolerance to the
Frontline. Any Thoughts?

First it was Harts... Now it's Frontline. When will you people be
satisfied? You've always got to have something to gripe about.
Something or someone to tear down. Why?

It was frontline for *CATS*?
Do not use Frontline for dogs product or reaction will be adverse
Cats lick whatever you pour on them off
Use frontline for Cats as directed (including age)
This Includes such things Tea tree oil Eucalyptus all great for dog washes
but will make Cats very ill

Ignore Matthew. He is our local animal-rights nut-case kook. He has
serious problems interpenetrating reality. Most people here will tell
you this is the case. He is also a textbook homosexual with feminine
tendencies. Just ignore him.
