goldie544 - 08 Apr 2006 15:55 GMT I took our 5 yrd old cat to have his teeth cleanind 2 1/2 wks ago we had them use the best anesthia they have and they did in house pre blood work-up everything was normal. They did the cleaning and had to pull the big tooth on one side. I think its called the canine tooth. Our Fuzzy has never been the same we brought him and he barely ate.Vet said to take him of the pain and antibotics but that did nothing. He spent last weekend at the emergency vet his Bun and Crea were high did fluids all weekend still would not eat.He has been at the vet everyday all day they have run all test blood work-up,give fluids anit nausea stuff and shots to stimuplate his appetits and nothing still and I bring him home at night and force him they do it during the day.The vet is at a loss as to what is going on he has consulted two other vets they have no idea why he will not eat now.BUN and CREA are way down but still nothing no eating. Fuzzy seems different as in like a baby its like when I force feed him he is a baby so to speak he.Can the anesthia affect the part of the brain that controls the signal for hunger??I am not sure if he can even smell the food I put n front of him he just looks at it he opens and closes his both a few times and turns away.Last night he ws very depressed and its like he looks passes me like he is not all there. Fuzzy in general is a very high stress fearful cat taking him back to vet this is now taking a extreme toll on him.I told them when I dropped him off today they have to take the cathitor out and I am going to keep him at home till Monday so he can hopefully get back to some sense of calm and I will force feed him.... If anyone has any thoughts on this or been thru this plz post.I am absolutely besides myself over my Fuzzy.I just do not know what is happening.I htink he has giving up on life .I just dunno anymore.
thanks
Barb - 08 Apr 2006 16:45 GMT I'm sorry. That's very sad. I have no answers but hope you can get the right kind of help for your cat. Let us know.
-- Barb Of course I don't look busy, I did it right the first time.

I am so sorry Fuzzy is in such bad shape. I wish I could help. (I have been pressured by my vet to have dental cleanings done on my cats, but the idea of putting them under general anesthesia for this put me off. However--your cat obviously needed work and had to be put under for it. I hope the changes in him are reversable.)

Thank You
cybercat - 08 Apr 2006 21:33 GMT > X-No-Archive: Yessss please > [quoted text clipped - 5 lines] > > Thank You I have never had a cleaning for my cats, because I just cannot justify the danger of putting them under general anesthesia just to have their teeth cleaned. I bought a toothbrush and brushed their teeth a few times, but that was not very uh, effective. If you had started Joop out on brushing as a little baby she might do okay but she is getting up there now. Still, you might try it. There is a brush with a long thin handle and small head, and there is chicken-flavored enzymatic cat tooth paste!
D. - 08 Apr 2006 22:50 GMT > I have never had a cleaning for my cats, because I just > cannot justify the danger of putting them under general > anesthesia just to have their teeth cleaned. My veterinarian is telling me that Hodge's teeth need cleaned within the next couple of months (or one month at this point). His breath is ghastly, and the veterinarian seems to think it's not only necessary but somewhat urgent. We know I can't brush his teeth. I'm going to trust TED's judgment, especially since I don't really see any alternatives. I never brushed Pudge's teeth, and hers were in good shape until the end. As with humans, it must be genetic.

goldie544 - 08 Apr 2006 23:12 GMT If bad breathe u need to do it a.s.a.p..Make sure they due fluids threw out the cleaning.Find out what types of aneathia the vet uses and research and they usually do a new house mini blood panel forget that have then do a complete one and send it out before you haev the teeth done and make sure they use a blood pressure cuff that will let let know if the blood pressure has gone down to low.I have learned alot from this and everyhting I just wrote will ALWAYS be done before any other of our animals is ever put under..... also they had to pull a tooth the big canine one on one side.If at all possible keep this two intact the roots are very longggggggg and looks like this might be the underlying problem with Fuzzy!!!
Anna - 09 Apr 2006 01:09 GMT >also they had to pull a tooth the big canine one on one side.If at all >possible keep this two intact the roots are very longggggggg and looks >like this might be the underlying problem with Fuzzy!!! My vet pulled my cat's molar that had a large cavity but filled a canine tooth that had a pinpoint cavity. He said that the canines have much more extensive roots and are harder to pull than the others, so I'm sure your Fuzzy felt a lot of pain afterwards. Regarding the creatinine and BUN, some people have reported that these values have gone up in their cats after using the pain killer Metacam.

2 morning ago, I woke up and she was sitting 2"'s from the ceiling
she had climbed up the curtains, and was balanced on the curtain rod kinda touching the wall for extra balance...
I say.. get down here!
she goes, mmmmm
I say, don't make me get up!
mmmmm
so I have to stand up in the bed I got 9' ceilings...
but as soon as I am close enough she just lets go and falls into my hands...
she's forever climbing something then it's weeeee daddy will catch me
I've had her ever since she was just weaned from her mammas teats
She's so cool, I think she would like her teeth brushed
I just don't want her grinning at me

He is not posting from adelphia.net
He traces to a Windows system at 71.254.86.81 which is Verizon East. As such copy the full headers of several of his disruptive messages to abuse@verizon.net and ask that action be taken.
By the way, the more the merrier, so if more people complain this troll will get one warning - then find his account cancelled. The new Verizon rules of service frown seriously on newsgroup disruption regardless of what service the troll uses, in this case Google. He is THEIR customer and its a reflection on them in the long run.

whine, whine, whine
I should have known you are the type to spout psychobabble.
Read a lot of self help books, do you?
Is that why you are harassing the nice nudists?
Now then, about your libelous allegations against Mr. Freight Train Jones: your claim that he is seeking to "disrupt" any group is a subjective value judgment, and Verizon knows that. For example, I was enjoying discussing teeth cleaning for cats with Mr. Jones when you jumped in and disrupted this group, posting vile allegations regardinga respected poster here. You did not post about CATS. Freight Train (as I like to call him) has TWO cats and posts their pictures and tells stories about them, and in other ways contributes to this forum.
Therefore, YOU are the troll. And you are not even amusing or interesting. Mr. Jones is frequently both.
So PISS off. I am again forwarding your post to Verizon with full headers telling them that you have made it clear that you are launching a smear campaign to deny Mr. Freight Train Jones his 1st amendment rights and his right to post freely here and elsewhere.
Mr. Jones, I urge you to seek legal counsel and subpoena this cretin's personal information from Verizon so that you might lodge a formal libel complaint against him. In fact, I happen to know a lawyer who specializes in this. Email me.

> You are empowering the wrong type of person... by drawing out > negative attention responses. That's what some trolls live for here on USENET. You may as well get used to it. The alternative is censorship, and none of us want that.
The best you can do passively is to get a newsreader which allows ignoring thread branches. Being able to ignore a subthread does wonders. I just filter by content, using ignore subthread, it's the best filter there is. If you try keeping a kill file, not very useful unless it ignores the whole thread branch, don't tell everyone when you plonk somebody, that is a silly/counterproductive waste of time.
Good luck.

Well, kids tend to be photogenic with or without their clothes on. The average photographer who goes to a church picnic is gonna come back with mostly kid pix.
But, I have seen European nudist colony pix where they lined up all the 10-12 year old girls. That was pretty weird. It made me think the kids were being marketed as sexual commodities even if they didn't know it.
Overall, though, I'm a fan of nudism on the net. alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.vintage is on my route, and I love the old 50s and 60s technicolors of nudist colonies. That hair! Those towels! That Sputnik-era furniture! And all those BIG TITS! I've got a slew of those pix on CDs.
Back in the early 60s, a SCOTUS ruling established nudism as a safe harbor outside obscenity statutes, which is why those pix are so prevalent. It was legal porn. A number of exploitation films were also made for drive-in theaters etc. My favorite is called "Nude on the Moon," about these two guys who fly a spaceship to the moon, and find it to be a luxuriant park full of naked women. There's no plot to speak of. The guys just wander around, making wry comments about the lunar fauna.
