My cat goes outside everyday. He does smell a bit 'raw' sometimes. I was
wondering is there anything that i can put on his fur to make him smell
better? I am worried about putting 'talcon powder' on him in case it poisens
him when he cleans his skin.

should i even try to change the natuaral fur smell?

Any suggestions??

My cat goes out all the time and his fur doesn't smell at all - are you sure
there is nothing wrong with him?

I don't think you should put anything on him as he will lick it
off.....................if he is dirty give him a bath with proper cat
shampoo.

Is he neutered?  Intact males smell.  Neutering helps.  He also could be
getting into trash, animal feces, or coming into contact with irate toms who
are spraying him.  If you don't want your cat to smell, get him neutered,
and keep him inside.  The occasional bath also helps to rid the fur of the
scent oils that cling to him from being outside.

Hi,
You can get wet wipes from the pet shops such as Pets at Home and
also ones if you are allergic to your cat. I use wet wipes on my dog
cos he rolls in foxes poo. yeuw! . But Kim the cat goes out and
doesn't smell. Has your cat been neutered?

Thanks for the suggestions every one. He is neutered. Actually the smell is
only for a while when he comes in from the garden & especially if its wet
outside.

I will look out for pet wipes for cats though, as i think my kitty wont take
too kindly to me trying to bathe him.

Thanks anyway

My cats go out almost every day on their deck and when they come in their
fur smells wonderful.  Also if they sit in an open window their fur will
smell wonderful, too.  Health check-up, neutering and pet wipes in that
order...

Of course I don't look busy,
I did it right the first time.
