well?

Apparantly. Although its probably not the nicest way to die.
cyrakis@yahoo.com - 22 Feb 2006 10:18 GMT
It is indeed possible, and has happened. Here's some info:

It's called hyponatremia, I believe there was an athelete who died from
that not too long ago.

Yes. Its a problem for endurance athletes.
Its estimate that half of the deaths in marathon races
(pretty rare at 5 or so a year in the US) are due
to drinking too much water and the resulting electrolyte depletion.

There was a recent death at Chico State Univ during a fraternity hazing
that killed a young man by forcing him to drink too much water.

That's why I don't drink water. That, and the fact that fish piss in it.
Stick with beer, single malt Scotch, and sourmash bourbon.

Yes, some teens who have done Ectasy have died from drinking too much water
(apparently, it makes you very thirsty).

Yes, but it's HIGHLY unlikely. Here's a link to the facts at WedMD

District Officer Dies After Bike Ride
Over-Hydration Cited as Factor
By Del Quentin Wilber and David Brown
Washington Post Staff Writers
Thursday, August 11, 2005; Page B01
A highly honored 25-year-old D.C. police officer died yesterday after he
apparently drank too much water Tuesday while training to use a bicycle
on patrol, police officials said.
Doctors believe that hyponatremia, a sodium imbalance caused by drinking
excessive amounts of fluid, most likely caused or contributed to the
death of Officer James C. McBride, police officials said. McBride
consumed as much as three gallons of water during and after the 12-mile
training ride Tuesday morning, police said.

yes, it's possible. my cousin was in a pward for her and she said
there was this girl there who repeatedly drank a lot of water and went
into seisures. i think that's how she got into the hospital, which
beggs the question, why didn't they monitor her water intake? i think
you have to be seriously obsessed with water to accomplish that.

Water you talking about?
Well?
Go to the well and get some water.

Yes. A woman killed herself that way. As her mother had died of
stomach cancer, she drank water constantly to wash any possible cancer
out of her system. She would not regard any pleas, became all bloated,
and ended up washing out her entire system.
Also, not long ago there was a murder case where a four-year-old, I
believe foster child, who sneaked some juice was forced to drink a
gallon or two of water, which killed her.

yes it is, your cells die, the stuff we need, the minerals etc...are
dilluted to the point we can die.
This happened to a teenager at a hazing, he drank I don't know how many
gallons...of water...but his brain swoll up and he died

Yes! I imagine it might be fatal if you drained it in one go.
fredfighter@spamcop.net - 28 Feb 2006 17:27 GMT
> well?
Yes, it can happen with well water though it doesn't have to be
well water.
You can screw up your electrolytes by drinking a huge excess
of water. That can be rapidly fatal.
