I took my cats to the vet to get there feline leukemia booster and let me
tell you there were soo bad. They bit and scratched my husband. These are
usually very friendly cats just not at the vets office:) Anyway Rocky our
boy cat chokes all the time when he eats it used to be just when he ate wet
food now its with everything he eats. I asked the doctor if he could look in
his house but he said without knocking him out there wasn't going to be any
way to look in his mouth. LOL. He was hissing like crazy at the vet. He
didn't think it would be a problem such as cleft palate and said it would be
a good idea to have a stool sample brought in and examined in case its
roundworms or other parasites like that which he thinks could be the cause.
It only costs ten dollars so I am definitely going to go ahead and have that
done. LOL now all I have to figure out a way to get a stool sample without
him knowing. I'll let you know how everything goes.

Try a litter pan with shredded newspaper.

Either that or a pan with plain old cat litter.
