I gave my cat 1/4 of a pepcid daily for over a year.  But I wouldn't do
anything without first consulting with your vet.  Maybe you could call
him/her and ask if it would be okay to continue the pepcid.  He/she may
still want to see Max for an evaluation, though.

My vet has said for ages that my cat, Cory, should be on half a pepcid ac a
day.  I haven't done it because he wasn't that sick before but, for the last 3
weeks or so, I have given him 1/2 once a day.

Candace, is he not doing any better? Did you completely stop the Reglan? I
know it has been a lifesaver with Shadow a few times. Also, reglan is
available in an injectable form if you feel you need to try that again to
keep him comfortable. I've thought of him and I'm glad you mentioned him.

I wouldn't recomend giving a cat ANY people medication without
professional okay, John. If you can't afford to take care of Max, then
take him to the pound. They can addopt him out and give him plenty of
professional care in the mean-time. His chances are probably better
there. At least he'll be given the right medication.

That's where you offer them one cat ... but they take two!

Steve.
