Like New Orleans, the Kwazy Kat Floods will subside

Brian Link - 13 Sep 2005 02:27 GMT A lot of you are pretty pissed by the kwazy kat's recent fascination with this group. Not all of you are Usenet veterans, though, so I thought I'd pass on a short word of comfort.
This particular a.shole is savvy enough to change its nym frequently enough to defeat filters. It delights in stirring up anger. However, it's just another unbalanced fart. It's a kid knocking down mailboxes.
This group has been pretty free of nutcases (Mary is an aberration since my joining the group) - and I'd encourage you all to wait the Kat out. It will eventually get bored and move somewhere else. Don't respond to its posts, don't complain about trolls. It's just a bit more irritation to scroll down to find a real post to read or respond to.
I seem to remember reading an article several years ago about a band of vandals invading a cat newsgroup talking about cat mutilations and other crap. They eventually went away, as will the psycho Kat.

meee - 13 Sep 2005 10:16 GMT I also posted this before, I will post again to let you all know. They are flooding cats. anecdotes as well, we are just ignoring them. Don't take them seriously or answer it, they will get bored and go soon.

Most of you pimple-faced AV-club kiddies have relatively short attention spans. You'll find a new script or get hooked on Duke Nukem3 and vanish like the girls in history class you're brave enough to speak to.
I've already got a Soundex-based filter that's doing a good job of nuking all your posts. You'll be forgotten soon enough by folks here, after you discover masturbation and leave usenet behind.

I see you're doing a spectacular job of following your own advice: "Don't respond to its posts, don't complain about trolls."
