Woops a typo. It should read as follows:
As unpopular as this suggestion might be, I'd actually contact a reputable
breeder and also the Cat Fanciers Association about this one. If anyone
would have the info you'd need it certainly would be them.

How can you find a "reputable" breeder? We'll be moving into a new area
and have never had a pedigree cat before.

My advice is to take your time and visit some cat shows in the area. As pointed
out elsewhere, backyard breeders and mills don't produce show quality cats and
those breeders don't go to shows. So you up your chances right there of meeting
a good breeder. Talk to the breeders at the shows about their cats and the
breed in general. Look at their cats and see whether they appeal to you. And
when you find someone you are interested in dealing with, ask to visit their
home and see the cats in their living environment. Any reputable breeder will
welcome your interest--after all, while you are screening them, they are
screening you to make sure you are someone who will provide a good home for
their pet quality kittens and cats. Good luck.

I'd log onto the Cat Fanciers Association Web Site at http://www.cfainc.org
for breed information. For a breeders list I'd check out the Norwegian
Forest Cat Breed Council at http://www.nfcbc.org or check out this breeders
list at http://skogkatt.co.uk/NFO/Magazine_Information/Breeders_List/ . I
hope this helps.
