We have three litter boxes. They all seem to want to use the same one. So
one day the bathroom box is the box du jour a few days later it could be the
kitchen box or the laundry room box. So scooping is done and done and done
to keep the box clean while they ignore two perfectly clean, perfectly
unused boxes.

The other day for reasons I'm not sure of Isabelle decided to pee in the
hall (right outside the bathroom that contains a box). Shortly before she
had a hissy encounter with Tigger so she may have been POd. She announced
her act (by scratching on the nearby door in a half-assed attempt to "cover"
it up) so I was able to clean it up and no stench remains.

Then the next day Tigger pees in the bathroom, on the mat right next to the
box. A little later she poops - on the mat right next to the box.

Tigger has been feeling better lately so of course they are all chasing
her - hissing and growling to follow. Boots has been a particular PIA the
last few days and neither one of the girls are happy to see him.

I still have to have my bedroom off limits to them as I haven't managed to
get rid of the stink in there and am not sure where it is coming from. I can
get down on my hands and knees and do the sniff test and don't smell urine
but walk into the room and you smell it. I've done the black light thing
looking for another spot to no avail.

Isabelle had a complete checkup before we adopted her in September. She had
another checkup in December by our vet. Tigger has seen the vet on numerous
occasions since December and Boots was just at the vet a little over a week
ago. They are all peeing and eating normally (wellllll other than Boots and
the dental floss and that ain't normal lol) often enough - not too
frequently and not too much.

I've had cats for over 30 years and have never had the peeing around the
house like I do now. I have more boxes than ever, clean them more often than
ever and am running a feliway diffuser for the first time ever. We have
introduced new cats to old cats on numerous occasions and never had this
problem.

This is the first time I've had two females that weren't from the same
litter. I wonder if maybe wasn't a mistake. Either way they are here to stay
so I've got to figure out how to get them all to chill out. If that doesn't
work I have to get me to chill out <thinking good stiff drink>
