Everyone has been so helpful here, I hope I can impose on you again for some
advice.  I'm now at the point of considering 2 possible shelters for Big
Boy, Angel's Gate in Northport, Long Island (NY) & Rude Ranch, outside of
Annapolis, MD.  Also there is a rescue group looking for a home for him
(which of course would be my primary choice).  Question has come up about
vaccinations.  I believe all require rabies & distemper & he has not had
shots in about 2 years.  What sort of risk is there in vaccinating a FELV+
cat?  I will talk to vet but wanted your opinions first.  Thanks.

Most vaccines are generally contraindicated in cats with repressed
immune systems, AFAIK, so I'd ask a veterinarian about it.
