Dogs, cats, horses, and elephants are subject to the pain of
osteoarthritis when they are old.  This condition can be relieved by
lubricating all of the joints in the animal's body.  The best
lubrication and arthritic relief is provided by cod liver oil and the
essential oils, olive oil and flax oil.  I recommend a teaspoon of each
oil for cats and a tablespoon of each oil for larger animals.  All
animals (including humans) have tissue sacs called bursa situated
adjacent to every bone joint.  These bursa contain lubricating oil and
if they run dry, you or your pet will have osteoarthritis.  The best
cure for this condition is cod liver oil with olive oil and flax oil.

Hi Burt,

My vet just gave us something for our 10.5 year old girl kitty for the
arthritis she is developing in her kitty hips. It's a new feline
verson of Cosequin, a glucosomine/chondrotin product. It's in capsule
form, we open it and sprinkle the contents on her food, or she can be
given the pill itself (yeah, right, bring out the chain mail and
armor)

She did gobble it right up last night when we put it in her food.
Never noticed a thing.

Judy
