Kitty is not happy and is having trouble with her bowel
movement.

Any suggestions what can be given to her to quickly soften her stool ?

See if she'll eat some canned pumpkin. It's got a lot of soluble
fiber, and a lot of cats love it.

Of course, if the problem is persistent, she probably needs a check-up
and a change of diet.

Laxatone, sold in pet stores, canned pumpkin (no spices) in her food, giving
her canned food instead of dry. You must be sure she is not impacted
firstly.

Cats like canned pumpkin? That's one I never thought about. A pumpkin
treat.
