Yesterday I purchased a large humidifier for the house.  There are two
tanks that empty into a tray at the bottom.  The gurgling sound that it
makes when the tank lets water into the tray sounds exactly like one of
my cats coughing up a hairball.  It will take me a while to get used to
that!

Heh. Mine does the same thing. I can't tell you how many times I've
shoved the cats off the bed in the middle of the night because I
thought they were horking on the bedspread. :-D

You do get used to it, mostly. ;-)
