do they work?
I can't kill the fleas in my small apt....
I'm ready to try anything.

I do not believe they are "silver bullet" and people often find different
results.

If you ask the same question at alt.consumers.pest-control,
they'll tell you not to waste your money.

There are easy, successful ways to rid your apartment of
fleas. First, treat all cats and dogs with Frontline (get it
from your vet). If you treat them all at once, that will
probably be enough to get rid of the fleas. But, you can
speed things up by vacuuming thoroughly (any surface that
can be vacuumed) and washing all washables (sheets, blankets,
pet bed covers, etc.). When my house was infested, I also
shampooed the carpets after vacuuming.

If you don't have pets and have an infestation, you might
have to get an exterminator.

I have him on Advantage...he's got no fleas...just me.  As far as all that
other stuff...it's been done over and over.  The fleas are still here...I've
had the "professional" in...soaked everything...didn't change a thing.
That's why I ask the question. Could it be the folks at pest control are
selling their own products???  uhhuh.

Very odd. Go over to news:alt.consumers.pest-control and see
what they say. Generally, if you have your pet(s) on Advantage/
Frontline, the fleas will jump on, die, and fall off. Eventually
you will have no more flea problem. I'm perplexed!

I think the OP said they are in an apartment. I wonder if the fleas aren't
heading next door till the "coast is clear" and then returning.
