I think it makes sense. You can already buy probiotics at Petco. Buy Bene-bac.
It most certainly can't hurt them. It's live gut flora. This has been shown to
clear up IBD in humans. Sometimes gut flora can die from fasting, illness or
antibiotics. It needs to be replaced. I know because I got food poisoning once,
couldn't eat for a couple of weeks, took antibiotics, then still couldn't eat.
I had to eat yogurt to get the live cultures back. The probiotics are better
than yogurt because all the flora make it to the intestines where they are
needed. Yogurt cultures don't all make it to the intestines.
