I'm posting this because its kinda weird, wondering if anyone else's
cat does it. My cat is obsessed with mint. I love mint, so alot of the
stuff I use is mint-flavored. Isn't catnip in the mint family? I guess
that could be why, though he doesn't give a crap about catnip when its
offered. The following have to be kept well away from him:

Candy canes (holidays)and breath mints- We couldn't have any of them
out, as he would lick them and try to eat the wrappers, and he would
try and french me after I had one to get at my minty breath! We
couldn't throw the wrappers in the trash as he would tear apart the
trash to get to them. The same goes for gum,it has to be kept in a
drawer otherwise he gets to it. This is gross, but I spit my gum in
the toilet and flush just so he can't get to it THATS how much he
loves mint!
Toothpaste/mouthwash - As soon as he hears the sink running he flies
into the bathroom onto the vanity and waits for you to spit. Doesnt
matter if you lock him out, once youre done he goes in there and even
though you rinsed the sink he smells it and tries to lick whats not
there. I finally resorted to using cleaning products immediately after
brushing, and brushing with no water besides the final rinse so maybe
he wont even know I'm brushing. I have to lock him out when I floss,
unless I want my face clawed at. Of course I have to wrap the floss in
something he cant unwrap before I throw it away.
It doesnt matter what it is, if it has any element of mint to it, he
can't help himself!

That's hilarious! I've never had a cat that was into mint but lots who like
catnip, one who ran from catnip and others who couldn't care less. I will see
if my catnip loving cat also loves mint. Catnip is in the mint family.

When I play with Cheeks after I brush my teeth she does that "mmmm ...
" kind of nose way up in the air sniff, like she's enjoying the
bouquet of a fine wine! She must be a mint fiend too!
