diabetic cat

anyone know how to test a cats blood sugar?
Im a diabetic and have all the medical equipment to test myself and i was
wondering how (if possible) to get blood samples from the cat to test its
blood sugar.

I prefer to test using the ear as using a paw pad has a risk of
infection because the site will be exposed to bacteria from the
litterbox when the cat uses it.
