Anyone know of a good way to stop a cat climbing a christmas tree? A cat
we had didn't like the NZ sheepskin rug we had,
http://www.ecowool.com/category/10/ but the cat we have now still walks
on it to get up the tree. Any ideas? cheers.

I would give the cat something else to climb like a cat tree or something
that isn't near the Christmas Tree. Make sure that when you see the cat
wanting to climb the Christmas Tree to move him/her back to the other object
to climb.

Don't let the cat into the room where the tree is.  I suppose you could
give the cat a good squirt from the spray bottle when it approaches the
tree, but that rquires a lot of vigilance and obviously won't work when
the cat is home alone.
