Hello,

I adopted a stray and he stayed with my family and two house cats for about
three weeks. Today I brought the stray in to the vet for an examination and
he was diagnosed with Feline Leukemia. We were advised to euthinise which we
did.  :-(

Question: My two house cats have been vaccinated but I want to make sure
that they are safe, should we scrub the house down? What precautions do we
need to take? When the sick cat was here they were eating from the same bowl
and sharing the same furniture and living quarters etc.

If your cats are adults and vaccinated, they're significantly less
likely to become infected, but yes, it's a good idea to do a thorough
cleaning of bedding, bowls, common areas, etc.
