Hi everybody!
I have a terrific new foster cat, just wanted to share her story.

DC is a little black and white girl, estimated to be about 1 year old.  She
was brought into the shelter by a resident of an apartment complex.  DC was
a stray, and this woman took up a collection for her vetting, and had been
feeding her with donated food.  She contacted our organization and made
arrangements to bring her in.
She wasn't doing well at the shelter, hiding in the back of her cage,
scurrying under the cage banks during her "out" time.  I decided to take her
home for a while, since she wasn't improving.  DC has been at my house for
just over a day, and she is already a different cat!  She was hiding for the
first few hours, then last night when I went to bed, I heard her meowing
from her room.  I went in, and she wound around my ankles and purred.  I sat
down on the floor with her, and she climbed all over me.  I sat with her,
petting and talking for a while, till I had to go to bed.  DC was the same
today, all over me when I go in the room.  She even cuddled under the covers
with me when I took a nap!
