Marek, where is old George?

Now that you have your new kitty, we haven't heard you mention George.  Did
something happen to him?

Marek posted a lengthy reply to my question about Old George in the
alt.pets.cats newsgroup.  It is in the "Getting the Cat to Pay the Water
