Attach the top of the tree to the ceiling. Actually it doesn't keep them
out of the tree but the tree doesn't fall over.

Today is not your day.
Tomorrow doesn't look good either.

Thanks for reminding me. We always did that when we got a real tree but
haven't as much since we got the artificial one. With Bootsy around I'm
considering a fence ;o)

My MIL sent us a cutsey metal fireplace screen with snowmen and such. I don't
need a cutesy fireplace screen, but it makes a great, attractive barrier for
the Christmas tree! My tree is in a corner and with this in front of it,
there's no room for a running leap-and-climb. I was pleasantly surprised when
it actually worked that way! Skip LOVES his cat tree but left our real
Christmas tree alone entirely.
