Does anyone have any suggestions for treats for cats? I've tried lots of
catnip flavored treats and my cats just ignore them. The only thing they get
excited about are Friskies Dental diet dry food (those yellow balls), but
I'd like to have some variety.
thanks

Rowan adores those Temptations or whatever they're called - hard on the
outside and soft on the inside.
Jeffrey likes the crunchy fish-shaped ones that come in a can that looks
kinda like a small Pringles container. I forget the name.
All the kids prefer beef, chicken or liver to fish flavored treats.

Wysong makes a cat treat. Or, you could make your own from dehydrated liver.

What is it about Friskies Dental Diet? I got a sample bag in the mail, and the
cats just went nuts over it. So I bought a small box and just kind of dole them
out as treats. It can't taste *that* good, it's just dry cat food. Not even the
best quality dry cat food either.

I know, and it kind of smells bad, but my cats love it, and the stray I'm
feeding eats those out of the bowl first (I mix them with Iams for him)...
Then he comes back for the Iams. I hope it really is doing something for
their teeth...

Wysong is the one that picky Bonnie likes. Reminds me... I have to go
get more. :)

Both Jack and Rizzo inhale the Purina "Whisker Lickin's" crunchy/tartar
control treats consistently, where their appetite for other kinds comes and
goes. They especially like the crabcake flavor, but like the chicken and
tuna as well. A big bag is less than $2 and is available just about any
place that has pet food.

Casey absoltely adores the Salmon flavored "Luv" brand that Purina
makes...not sure if they are available in USA, but they are all over in in
Canada..

Matilda doesn't care for treats containing ground yellow corn so I don't buy
commercial cat treats for her. The things she considers to be good treats
for her are the occasional water packed sardine, egg yolk or slurp of table
cream.

I bet she loves those :)
My cats like treats like cantelope, yogurt and chicken livers. I wish I could
give them sardines but I'm allergic to fish.

How about the freeze-dried fish or shrimp that's available? I bought
the shrimp (brand was "Shrimp-purrs") and Tucker loves those. And it's
natural too.
Another favorite is Whiskas "Crunch" treats. They come in a small
Pringles-like can. Low-fat and very tiny treats. I can trick both cats
into thinking they're getting something "big."
Also, a big hit is sort of a treat--fresh, but frozen catnip. Gets me
through the winters when nothing grows outside.

My cat (and every cat I have ever come across) loves Kukamunga (I think
thats how you spell it) catnip treats. I only have to shake the tin and
she's straight there! It's really strange becasue she doesn't like catnip
at all generally but I think these treats have some meat derivatives in them
too. They sell them in most (UK) pet shops.

My cats love raw uncooked noodles. No idea why......
